The “Middle C” is important because it is the only note that can be played by all instruments (both woodwind and brass). It is also a note sung by the human voice. This means it covers both instrumental and vocal music. It is also important because the C major scale is the only scale that does not need any sharps or flats to be major. This means the other scales have to adjust, but “Middle C” doesn’t.
The pitch "middle C" is important because it is only the only note that every instrument ever invented, including the human voice, can play. This makes it very versatile in the types of music in which it can be used in. Also, as seen in the above chart, it can be moved all over the staff making it the optimal key to play in for many instruments. It is also very easy to remember and use because it has no sharps or flats to confuse the player.
